Hi, I’m Ems, the resident artist and owner of House of Heresy. I’ve been tattooing for around two years, with a background in Games Development and Games Art that feeds into the bold, graphic style I love working with.

I focus on black and grey tattoos – they’re timeless, heal beautifully, and it’s the look I’m most passionate about (you can probably tell, since I’m covered in them myself). My main inspirations are elegant floral fine-line and woodcut-style designs with strong texture, but I’m always excited to take on new ideas and explore different styles within the monochromatic spectrum.

The studio is based in Atworth, Wiltshire, and I’ve built it to feel private, relaxed, and comfortable. My aim is for every client to feel at ease – no stress, just a chilled vibe, good music (usually the Tron: Legacy or Annihilation soundtracks), and maybe a bit of creature-feature film chat if you’re into stuff like Alien.

At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to create tattoos you’ll love, in a space where you can enjoy the whole process, from booking to inking.
